Twerton History Society

My Great Grand-father was Solomon George Kettlety, born in Pennys Buildings, High Street , Twerton in 1885 to Charles and Fanny [nee White] Kettlety. After looking at my records I think “The Twerton Artist” as he was known, may have been his Uncle John and can now connect him with the photo I have of my relation, painting.

Hi Shirley, I was interested in your connection to the kettlety family- I too am related to them, my Great-Great grand-father/mother Solomon~Diana (nee JOY)Kettlety were the parents of Charles born 1839, making him my great-uncle…… Hope you dont mind me Emailing you….. Regards Paul C………

Hi …… does anyone have any info: on the parents or place of birth/baptism for DIANA JOY born in the early 1800s, and married to Solomon Kettlety ….. I have done much research on her birth/baptism and parents with no success…Any information would be more than helpful

Hi Paul,

I have information regarding Solomon and Diana (Joy).
Solomon born Aug 1806 died 6th Jan 1878 he was a weaver in Twerton. Diana nee Joy born 3rd July 1808 died 27th March 1894. They were married on 25th December 1829.
Not sue if this is any help. Will try and get more information about her. Bernadette Macey
