I simply wished to thank you very much all over again. I'm not certain what I would have tried without the type of methods provided by you concerning my concern. This was an absolute hard crisis in my view, however , observing a new specialized manner you dealt with that made me to leap over happiness. I'm happier for the work as well as hope that you comprehend what a great job you are always carrying out instructing men and women thru your blog post. I am sure you have never got to know all of us.

Hallo. I've just stumbled across this site, browsing my own roots. May Bowler nee Green died about 2003, still living at 8 Inverness Road a few houses from my family home. She had 3 children, Robert in Australia and Barbara and Graham who both live in Bath. Good luck with your searches.

Peter - I don't believe this! But I have just got into the 1911 census and May is my relative! May was born 1907 to Harry and Emily! They are all still living at 8 Inverness Road ... in 1911. They all seem to be working as tailors of one form or another .. Do you know anything more about her? I have found from this census that altogether there were 12 children born and 8 surviving .. so she would have had a lot of siblings ... I can't believe that a nosey google has opened up lots of new info! Thank you all so much - I am so excited!!!! Faye

Hi all - I have been tracing my family tree and my family - the Greens - lived at number 8 Inverness road when the 1901 census was taken - I am still trying to find out where they went to next although judging by the death records so far they were still in the general area many years later. Don't know if anyone remembers them or knows anything of them - Harry and Emily Green were the parents and they had many children including a Clifford Green who died in 1999 aged 98 .. anyway just thought I would mention it as I am trying to get as much info together as I can. I am hoping to come up and have a look at the area as I am intrigued as to how big the house are... bearing mind in 1901 they had the 2 parents, 6 children and a lodger living there! Any help would be hugely appreciated - but thankyou for putting these photos on as they are a great help! Faye Evercreech, Somerset

Hi Eleanor

I knew an old lady who died aged 97 in 2003 called May Bowler (born 1906). She lived all her life at 8 Inverness Rd. Your mother must have known May. Her maiden name would have been different from Bowler. She married a Mr Bowler connected with the firm which invented carbonised water. There is a museum in Bath all about the Bowler Family.

Ernest John Eskett was born Sept. 1879 and died 1954 in Western Australia. He was married in 1904 probably at St Michael and All Angels Church, Twerton.

Hello Gavin,
What a wonderful man you are. I hope you know how much your photos mean to me. I am absolutely chuffed.
We were so close to that area when we were there last year but didn't know the address at the time, and also at 10 Albert Terrace where John and Emma Eskett lived. I have been able to look at the area on google earth.
I think I may have to make a return visit in the near future.
Once again a huge thankyou for what you have done.

Cheers from Denmark Western Australia
