St. Michael's school in Tweton is putting the finishing touches to their new school web site. Their old site was hard to find using Google and needed an upgrade. Gavin Tyte, leader of the church-based Rose Cottage project and whose eldest daughter attends St. Michael's, developed the site. "What the school wanted was a site that looked child-friendly, a site they could maintain themselves, and one that offered a high degree of functionality. I developed the site using a system called SubDreamer. This uses a database and manages all the content for the site. It also lets the teachers administer the site, as well as providing login panels for both teachers and pupils. I designed all the graphics using Photoshop Elements and built it in conjunction with teachers from the school to their requirements. Once the site was completed, I ran a training day for the school web site administrators - so that they can run the site themselves." You can view the new site at: http://www.stmichaelsjuniors.org/
