FREE CATERING COURSE

For residents of Twerton & Whiteway

One morning a week for 8 weeks

Starting in January 2008

The course will cover:

• Simple healthy cooking
• Basic Food Hygiene
• Food preparation
• Customer service
• Help with getting employment

We are running a catering course aimed at people who are looking for work. It will run on Monday mornings, 10am – 1pm, for 8 weeks from January 21st until March 17th. It doesn’t run in the half term break, so there will not be a class on 18th Feb. The course is based around a small project providing healthy lunch boxes for staff at Culverhay School. The first week is a general introduction and basic cooking and in the second week you receive Food Hygiene training, including sitting an exam to get the Food Hygiene Certificate.

Our aim is to help you get skills to find work. We can offer help with preparing a CV, applying for work and general help to overcome obstacles you face in finding work.
