There are three Deep Clean Keep Clean days at Southdown coming up on the 4th, 5th, 6th June. These days will be an opportunity for the area to be thoroughly cleaned up. There will be activities such as tree pruning, grass verge cutting, grafitti removal, litter picking, bulk waste removal and other assorted cleaning and tidying activities. In addition, there will be an information pod outside the shops in Mount Road where there will information on energy efficiency and other matters.

Would you be willing to wear a flourescent jacket and pick litter? Do you or any of the people you work with fancy taking some time out to clear up the local environment? If you're interested in finding out more then let me know.

Also - any agencies who wish to distribute information to the Southdown community will be able to have some space by the info pod. If you wish to do this then let me know and I will put you in touch with the person who's running the pod.
