The Rec House continues to develop in exciting new ways and our latest partnership takes us into wonderful new phase of growth. Having been approached by the Link school to serve them as a place where they can teach young people in dance, drama, music and sound recording, we are delighted to announce that we are going to start joint work together from September 2010.

Attention all Street Dancers! Sam is running a series of workshops and activities from Tuesday 17th Aug to Friday 20th August here at the Rec House from 12.30-4pm. Things are moving forward this term and Dan and Louise are back in full flow with their Monday evening drama sessions. And they are delighted with the new floor that has been laid in the Live Room. We have also been awarded enough money to install a complete curtain track running around the whole room which will transform the room yet further. Watch this space for more information.

Great news about the Recording Studio! It’s open for business!
If you are interested in recording a CD, learning sound engineering, lay a few tracks, have your own songs produced, then get in touch with Phil and Phil who will be delighted to help you out. Situated upstairs in its own space the recording studio has been kitted out with some fantastic gear and some great software. Lots of lovely flashing lights, great effects, infinite possibilities… So come and get involved.
