The Rose Cottage Community is led by Gavin and Lucy Tyte who look after the community, the centre and the programme.

Gavin Tyte

Gavin is ordained in the Church of England. Before being ordained he has worked as a Virtual Reality designer, a Record Producer and a Music Technology teacher. Gavin is a world-renowned performance artist as a human beatboxer (urban vocal percussionist). Gavin has performed and spoken at events all over the United Kingdom.  Under Gavin’s leadership, the humanbeatbox.com online community grew from 3000 members to 42,000 in three years. He has produced two solo albums and written one book aimed at young people. In his spare time Gavin loves to fish! As well as leading the Rose Cottage Community, Gavin is Associate Vicar of St. Michael’s Church, Twerton.

Lucy Tyte

Lucy Tyte is a trained textile designer but prefers to use her art skills to facilitate others.  She is currently training in spiritual direction and loves to explore creativity in worship, working with children and leading small groups.  In her spare time Lucy enjoys walking Whispa, the family labrador.  Lucy and Gavin have two daughters, Gemma (10) and Rowena (8).

Clare and Pauline

Clare Birch is employed to manage the cafe.  For over ten years, Clare has helped lead Sanctuary, a creative worshiping community in Bath.  She has published books of creative liturgy as well as helped organise activities at festivals such as Greenbelt.

All our other community members are volunteers, who give up their time to support the mission of Rose Cottage.
