About the Cafe

Our mission is to provide great food at affordable prices in a friendly and welcoming setting. The cafe is family friendly with a beautiful garden and small play area with trampoline.

The Cafe and Centre is run by members of the community who help with everything from making cakes and serving coffee to dead heading the roses and mowing the lawns!

Our learning room is equipped with five Apple Macs and printer. Free internet access is available during cafe opening hours (unless the room has been pre-booked for a course).

We are working on making the Cafe and Centre accessible to all. On street parking is usually available in Clyde Gardens, immediately adjacent to the side entrance of Rose Cottage, although there is currently no reserved disabled parking space. There is a dropped curb on the corner of Clyde Gardens and High Street. Access into the cafe and garden is level but wheelchair users may require help opening the doors. Within the cafe mobile ramps are available on request to access the learning room. There is a large disabled toilet with pull down rails and low level handwash basin.

Menu

In addition to the main menu which is available all day, we also serve a daily special, (usually a hot meal) between 12 and 2pm.

  • Homemade we make as much as possible in our own kitchen at Rose Cottage. Our soups, quiches, hot specials and most of our cakes are prepared on site from fresh ingredients.
  • Healthy we aim to offer food which is good to eat and good for you. Great ways towards your five a day include our fresh fruit smoothies, generous side salads and our vegetable packed homemade soups. If you have special dietary requirements please advise a member of staff. If we can make it for you, we will.
  • Affordable we want our food to represent great value for money. Our brilliant pick + mix plate will keep the little ones happy for just £1, and for older kids we’re happy to offer half size, half price portions of any of our regular dishes.
